Hurricane practice moves into 2nd week.

Practice for the Hurricane Redskins continued today with two sessions.

With the speakers blasting the likes of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and the Black Eyed Peas "Boom Boom Pow" one wonders if this is a tactic used by the coaching staff to keep fans away from their practices.

Today's sessions saw the first action with the defense for Seniors Steven Shine, Payton Lunsford, and Mason Giacomo, and the first work on offense for Blake Ross. All players that are likely to see action on both sides of the ball this season.

When the team worked on the 2 minute drills there were some highlights:

Cam Paterson burst thru the line to doom the first play from scrimmage.

Curon Cordon continues to demonstrate how difficult it is for the first defender to bring him down.

Nathan Roy had a sharp completion to Bo Adkins for a first down.

Roy completed several short passes to Gage Truman even though J.T. Cooper deflected one of those passes.

Steven Shine's pass rush hurried Roy on an incompletion.

Patterson and Cooper pass rush caused an Austin Womack pass to fall incomplete.

Jordan Williams had a reception for a 1st down.

Notes: Cordon returned to practice. Dakota Williams saw limited action. Hayden Alford who has been exclusively on defense saw time working with Womack and Roy at quarterback. The team will have a Red vs. White scrimmage tomorrow and then travel to Parkersburg on Saturday morning to Scrimmage Parkersburg South @ 10am.

Some dedicated parents came out Saturday to help make Redskins' stadium beautiful.
