ALL-MSAC team announced...Hurricane has 8 players honored.

Anyone who follows high school football in the great state of West Virginia understands that the MSAC is the top conference in the state.

To be named to the prodigious All conference team as voted for by the leagues head coaches is great recognition for a player.

Hurricane had 8 players named to various levels of the team this morning.

Named to the first team Offense was Junior Christian Hill and Senior Kicker Tim McCutchen. Hill lead the Redskins in yards rushing (1525 yards) and touchdowns (10).

McCutchen was a huge weapon for Hurricane not only in place kicking and kickoffs, but also as perhaps the best punter in the state of West Virginia.

J.T. Cooper was selected to the first team defense. Cooper had 127 tackles on the season and finished with 348 for his career, the highest total for any Redskin in the last 12 years. Cooper remains a long-shot for the WV Huff Award given to the state's top linebacker.

Senior Charlie Womack was named to the 2nd team defense. Womack had 225 career tackles including 74 this season. Womack is #5 on the top Redskin tacklers over the last 12 seasons.

Both Seniors Dalton Geter (OL) and Cameron Kimble (LB) received special Honorable mention. Geter powered the Hurricane Redskins' running game as a 3 year starter.

Kimble was 2nd on the team in tackles with 110 and tied with Cooper with 10 tackles for loss. Kimble is 3rd on the list of top Redskin tacklers from 2007-2012 with 252.

Honorable mention recipients for Hurricane were Senior Kryzstof Kudlak and Junior Bomani Brooks.

Kudlak led the Redskins in sacks and provide great blocking for Hill from his TE/H-Back position on offense.

Brooks who missed the 2nd half of the season was solid on the defensive line and registered 28 tackles in limited action.
